Colgate Ready For Georgetown

I write to you from the comfort of our nation’s capital. We arrived in DC shortly before 9pm after an arduous 7 hour bus ride. Tomorrow, we look to remain undefeated in the league after last week’s 28-24 victory at Holy Cross.
Despite numerous penalties and two avoidable turnovers, we were able to keep our championship expectations alive with a last minute scoring drive. Gavin found sophomore receiver, Brian Lalli, behind the Crusader defense to give us the lead with under a minute to play. Mike Armiento evened the turnover ratio with a fumble recovery and an interception in the end zone that set up our game winning drive. Mike now leads the nation with 5 interceptions.
We plan to remain undefeated in the league after tomorrow’s contest at Georgetown. Georgetown is 1-7 on the year and 0-1 in the league after falling to Lehigh last week. They have also been plagued by the injury bug. Offensively, Georgetown is led by senior running back, Nick Campanella. Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, Dustin Wharton, leads the Hoyas’ defense.
As many of you know, my younger brother is a sophomore slot receiver for the Hoyas. Jake also returns punts. I am the gunner on our punt team so it is my job to run down and make the tackle. I told Coach Biddle that if my brother fair catches a punt I am going to lay him out anyway. I promise that the penalty will be offset because I’m sure that Jake will get up and peg me in the face with the ball.
